Douglas® Suspended Backstop Cable Hardware Kit

Description

Take the guesswork out of setting up your professional backstop system and get a complete kit with all the cable, hardware, and custom netting that you need for your unique facility.

Choose between this Suspended Cable System Hardware Kit (Tie-Back), which provides more of an unobstructed view, or the Standard Backstop Cable System hardware kit (Pole-to-Pole).

This professional backstop system is framed with a tensioned galvanized steel cable that keeps the baseball protective netting taught with no sagging.

INCLUDED HARDWARE:

• (600′) – 1/4 Galvanized Steel Cable with a 6,100 lb. breaking strength
• (6) – 12″ Turnbuckles
• (4) – 6″ Turnbuckle
• (40) – 1/4″ Cable Clamps
• (6) – 6″ Eye Bolts
• (400) – 8 mm Spring Links

Custom netting and poles are sold separately.

INSTALLATION

When installing the hardware kit with a wall, eyebolts are recommended every 3 – 4′. Eyebolts and other wall hardware are not included. Browse our installation accessories and contact us for additional recommendations.

If you have a backstop wall, make sure your field is safe for athletes when they take the field by adding Douglas custom protective wall padding. Backstop padding will help protect your players from potential injury due to wall collisions behind the plate. Our padding also makes your field compliant with college softball rule 2.1.

POLES

Recommended pole size is 10.75″OD x .375″ wall thickness.

NETTING

When protecting spectators from errant balls, it’s important to do it right and choose the right netting to go with your backstop system. We recommend high-impact 1-3/4″ square mesh baseball netting with a rope-bound border for our cable backstop systems.
